MAMCET - Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

The primary objectives of an Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) are to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within educational institutions. IIC aims to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among students and faculty, fostering collaboration with industry experts and creating a platform for knowledge exchange.

Functions and responsibilities of Institution’s Innovation Council

Role	Responsibilities
President / Vice President	Provide leadership and strategic direction to the IIC.
	Oversee the overall functioning of the IIC.
	Collaborate with external stakeholders and represent the IIC externally.
	In the absence of the Convener, assume leadership responsibilities.
Convener	Lead day-to-day activities of the IIC.
	Ensure smooth operation and coordination among all coordinators.
	Make strategic decisions for the IIC’s growth and development.
Innovation Activity Coordinator	Oversee and coordinate all innovation-related activities within the IIC.
	Encourage and support innovation initiatives among students, faculty, and incubates.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
Startup Activity Coordinator	Coordinate and manage all startup-related activities within the IIC.
	Facilitate the development and growth of startups emerging from the institute.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
Internship Activity Coordinator	Manage and coordinate all internship-related activities within the IIC.
	Facilitate connections between students and potential internship opportunities.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
IPR Activity Coordinator	Oversee and coordinate all intellectual property rights (IPR) related activities within the IIC.
	Provide guidance on protecting and managing intellectual property developed by the institute community.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
ARIIA Coordinator	Oversee and coordinate all activities related to the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA).
	Promote innovation culture and practices in the institute to enhance ARIIA ranking.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
NIRF Coordinator	Oversee and coordinate all activities related to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
	Work towards improving the institute’s ranking in different NIRF parameters.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
Member	Attend all events, discussions, and meetings organized by the IIC.
	Share equal responsibilities in contributing to the success of IIC initiatives.
	Actively participate in decision-making processes within the council.
Social Media Coordinator	Manage and handle all social media-related activities for the IIC.
	Ensure effective communication and promotion of IIC events and initiatives.
	May take on additional responsibilities within the IIC.
