INAUGURATION OF THE 19th BATCH OF FIRST-YEAR B.E./B.TECH. PROGRAMMES – 2026–2027

M.A.M. College of Engineering and Technology organised the Inauguration Ceremony of the 19th Batch of First-Year B.E./B.Tech. Programmes for the academic year 2026–2027 on 12th August 2026 at Newton Hall. The programme marked the formal beginning of the academic journey of the newly admitted students and welcomed them into the MAMCET family.
The ceremony was conducted with the inspiring theme “Veezhvaen Endru Ninaithaayo?”
emphasizing attention, determination, resilience and the pursuit of excellence. The Welcome Address was delivered by the Principal, Dr. X. Susan Christina, who formally welcomed the gathering and set the tone for the significant occasion. She shared the success story of a student who hailed from an ordinary background and attained his goal of becoming a Designing Engineer in a Top MNC, with out compromising at any stage.
Dr. S. Rajasekaran, Dean, MASTeR GI, addressed the gathering and shared valuable and motivating thoughts with the students. This was followed by the special address of Dr. B. Muruganantham, Registrar, MASTeR GI, who offered insightful guidance and encouragement to the young learners. The programmewas further honoured by the presence of Mrs. Fathima Bathool Maluk, CEO, MASTeR GI, who felicitated the gathering and shared encouraging words with the students. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. M. A. Maluk Mohamed, Chairman, whose vision, dedication and purposeful leadership have contributed significantly to the growth of MAMCET as a centre of learning, innovation and character building. Dr. M.A.Maluk Mohamed in his presidential address motivated the students to be punctual, disciplined and obedient and acquire knowledge rather than just mugging up which would help them to succeed in their life and quoted his life itself as an example.
A significant highlight of the programme was the presence of the distinguished Chief Guest, Mozhiyarasi Prof. Dr.I.S.Parveen Sultana, a renowned academician, scholar, educationist and celebrated orator
The Chief Guest was honoured by the dignitaries. Mozhiyarasi Prof.Dr.I.S.Parveen Sultana in her inaugural address on, “Veezhvaen Endru Ninaithaayo?” mainly highlighted the importance of being attentive and added that being obedient to the parents in doing the multitasks they give us help to improve memory power. Her ideas on having 4Qs IQ,EQ,SQ and AQ corresponding to Intelligent, Emotional,Social and Adversity Quotients, gave a keen insight on how they can search and find out within the campus the golden key that unlocks a successful future.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. N. Saiva Raju, Head of Science & Humanities, MAMCET. The theme “Veezhvaen Endru Ninaithaayo?” was reiterated as a reminder to face challenges with courage, learn from setbacks and pursue dreams with determination. The faculty members of the Department of Science and Humanities had done all the arrangements.
